A Louis XV style walnut marquetry commode or chest of drawers of tomb-shaped form, the serpentine top echoed by the serpentine front apron, with two large drawers below two half-width drawers and a small (hidden) center drawer. Marquetry top. Louis XV style bronze mounts and handles.The chest of drawers bears all features of a proper chest and it is assumed that is was intended as a scaled model showcasing high craftsmanship. It may nowadays also serve wonderfully as a box for jewellery or other objects.
