"Large Middle Flat Desk, Directoire Style, Th. 1910-1920, Inlaid On All Sides"

Imposing flat middle desk, in moire mahogany, Directoire style, circa 1910-1920. Very high quality, this desk inlaid on all sides, opens on the front with 3 large drawers on the depth of the top. Decor of handles and marquetry on the back imitating 3 false drawers. Inlay of lemon nets on all sides. Each foot on three sides, except the inner part, is richly decorated with falling flowers, ribbons on the upper part and framed with a lemon tree net. The tray is lined with a large red leather redone in a mahogany frame with top and bottom darkening, inlay of ebony and lemon tree. Restored by our workshop, French polish. Exceptional.
