"Mounted Vase Tahan"
A pot-bellied turquoise porcelain vase decorated in light relief with alternating panels, scales and large scrolls with foliage and flowers. The gilt bronze frame takes up Far Eastern themes: pedestal, collar and ring sockets with elephant head attachment. The underside bears the incomplete label of TAHAN, 11 boulevard des Italiens. Paris (before 1878). Height: 28cm.
