Ivory okimono depicting a statue of Buddha in meditation in the lotus position, placed on an old tree trunk with, at its feet, small street vendors (missing from the one above). Signed under the base in a red lacquer cartouche Fu gyoku, Japan, late Meiji period (1868-1912), ca 1910. Height: 8.5cm
