Baluster-shaped pewter wine pitcher with flared foot, long neck with flared throat and tasselled thumb.
Control hallmark: crowned C / L(AN)GRE / 1691.
Hallmark of an unidentified master: crowned branched bird / star /1694 / PM
Height: 29.2 cm.
LANGRES (Champagne), between 1694 and 1697

Beautiful pitcher in very good condition, bearing an unpublished maker's mark, perhaps a MILLETON not yet listed.
The control of 1691 was not updated in Langres until 1697.
