nicolas forcella born in 1850 two oriental paintings most certainly painted in egypt one oil on canvas and the other on panel wooden frame turned with some accidents Nicola Forcella (born December 2, 1850 in Castellaneta and died on an unknown date) is a painter Italian orientalist. He had acquired the reputation of the best orientalist painter in Egypt in the 19th century. Nicola Forcella taught at the Khedivial School of Applied Arts in Egypt, where he was awarded the Imperial Order of Medjidie. He has a brother, Paolo (1868-?), who studied painting in Naples, and accompanied him to Egypt
