Lectern LOUIS XIV period. The base is in oak and the eagle is in linden. It pivots on an iron axis, on its back the support for the books. The eagle is symbolically attached to Saint John. On the base there is an inverted heart which is the sign of the Protestants and the cross of the order of Saint John. Visible in our Cour-Cheverny store.
