"The Destruction Of Jerusalem By Titus XIXth Century Engraving"
Spectacular engraving by its exceptional size, its subject and its quality of execution. It is engraved by Heinrich Merz (1806-1875) after the remarkable painting by Wilhem von Kaulbach (1805-1874) dated 1846 and kept at the "Neue Pinakothek" in Munich. Printed by L. Angerer, Berlin. Edited by Paul Sonntag, Berlin. Dimensions: 98 cm x 123 cm sheet Note what is "all margins" which have not been cropped! You will particularly admire the extreme finesse of the lines of the engraving as well as the richness of the staging. Very nice proof, well contrasted. Good condition. Slight traces of seniority, soiling on the margin, on the reverse, tiny traces of tearing on the edge, nothing serious. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate. Follow my gallery to be informed of news and know the dates of the next Salons ... I remain at your disposal.
