Oil on panel representing the banks of the Rhône. Signed Claude Firmin, dated 1903. Claude Firmin (1864-1944), painter from Avignon, student of Bonnat. He exhibited at the Salon of French artists from 1889 to 1922. Member of group 13. He was director of the School of Fine Arts in Avignon from 1937 to 1941. Works present at the Calvet and Louis Vouland museums.
