"Louis XV Console With Curved Facade, 18th Century Port Work"
Rare Louis XV port console with curved facade in mahogany and padouk wood (coral wood). It rests on four curved legs in padouk wood, they are molded with a pudding and hollowed out with a reserve. They are connected by fretted mahogany crosspieces, molded and dug with a reserve, the front crosspiece is centered with a heart. Each of the legs has been chosen from a padouk plank to reveal a part of lighter sapwood on each angle, which allows you to appreciate a beautiful color contrast. Probably Bordeaux port work from the second half of the 18th century. Top of veined red marble with projection on the angles, molded with a beak of corbin and a fillet below. Perfect state of conservation.
