This allegory of Thought is treated in high relief in patinated bronze. A young woman draped in the antique style, holds a parchment in one hand and delicately spreading her veil with the other. We can note the influence of the Renaissance which is added to that of Rome. Signed "CHAPU" on one side and bears, on the other, the stamp of "THIEBAUT Frères, fondeur à Paris". Mounted on a wooden base covered with slightly worn red velvet.
