"Louis XV Tomb Commode Stamped Mondon"
Large chest of drawers in the shape of a tomb, from the Louis XV period in Bois de Violette, Rosewood and Rosewood veneer. It is stamped 3 times AFMondon for François-Antoine Mondon, a famous cabinetmaker of the 18th century (1694-1770) received Master Cabinetmaker in 1752, as well as the hallmark of Jurande (JME). Chest of drawers well curved, curved in front and on the sides. It opens on 5 drawers including 3 in the belt. Beautiful gilt bronze trim with very pretty handles and keyholes. Restored veined gray marble top. A few times on the veneer and some cracks to report but very good general condition.
