"19th Century Tuscan School, Bronze Bust Of The Bishop Of Fiesole"
19th century Tuscan school, after Mino di Fiesole Leonardo Salutati, Humanist, Bishop of Fiesole (1450-1466). Bronze bust with brown patina, resting on a gray marble pedestal. (Wear to the patina, small old repair). This is a bronze replica of the marble bust made by Mino da Fiesole (1429-1484) for the funerary monument of the bishop preserved in the cathedral of Fiesole. Another bronze version, identical to ours, is kept in the Lemmers-Danforth collection in Wetzlar (Germany).
