"Charming Oil On Panel "sheep" By Philippe Albin De Buncey"
Charming oil on panel with sheep decor by Philippe Albin de Buncey. Renowned sculptor and animal painter, member of the Society of Animal Painters, he was awarded a silver medal at the 1937 Technical Arts exhibition. He was a pupil of Édouard Navellier. Really good mastery for this farm scene with these sheep on the hay, we understand that the artist specialized in animal painting...Very well done...around 1930...21 cm by 17 cm outside frame, encased in a modern black frame. Very good condition, a small worn corner (without consequence)... Note that I also offer on this site another oil painting by the artist "aux montons" which would make a judicious pendant, although it is not a pair (size slightly different), see last photos.
