Reissue of a fireback dating from the second half of the 16th century, the upper escutcheon, with the arms of the Blancheton, a Burgundian family established in Lorraine, is azure with a lion holding between its paws an ear of wheat Argent, ratified under letters patent of 1576. The two crests at the bottom are with the arms of Claude Vallée, of Bar le Duc, or of Valhey, ennobled in 1572, Azure a fess Or, accompanied in chief by three lion cubs of even and of three wavy bands Or in base. A fleur-de-lysed Solomon's seal at the corners, two ieschrismons with a fleur-de-lysed top and a rope-worked cross as a symbol of faith, two crests with the arms of France surmounted by an unclosed crown.
