Beautiful sculpture in white Carrara marble representing Diana coming out of the bath. She is sitting on a tree trunk with a quiver at her feet. Signed on the terrace, presence of a pastille "ASP" numbered 5. Direct cut marble in perfect condition.
Louis GOSSIN (Paris 6 June 1846 - 1928), sculptor
The first Sociétaire des Artistes Français. Student of Mathurin MOREAU, he exhibited regularly at the Salon from 1877. Medals of third class in 1882, second class in 1886, bronze in 1889 and 1900 Universal Exhibition.
