Charcoal and sanguine, slight traces of blue in the hat.
This drawing is not signed but is to be compared to the drawings of Nicolas Lagneau, French draftsman and carricaturist from the first half of the 17th century. Strong correspondences in the line of charcoal, the speed of execution, the use of red chalk for the drawing of the eyes, the important format for the time, the position of the subject or the schematization of the face.
Overall in good condition, irregular edges, foxing on the periphery. stuck in full. No rubbing or lacks on the subject.
