"Embroidered Cotton Muslin Tablecloth"
Rare tablecloth in cotton muslin re-embroidered in "Cornely" (Beauvais stitch - The Cornely method of its inventor Emile Cornely 1836-1915) - Floral motifs - bouquet of flowers - rectangular cartouches containing foliage - garland of flowers forming a central round - the edges are scalloped, small spandrels at each corner - It is easier to find large castle curtains with these embroideries, they were made in larger quantities than the tablecloths - they lend themselves well to this use, letting the light through - The laundry in my village is closed, cleaning will be needed to make it perfect -
