"Georges Streib: Hst Old Court In Pont Audemer Eure"
Large oil on canvas by Georges Streib depicting a little girl emptying a bucket in a courtyard of Pont Audemer in Normandy. Beautiful realistic canvas signed G.Streib, dated 1906, located on the back with a handwritten inscription. On Georges Streib we read in the Benezit: "Painter born in Paris, works in the 20th century, French school. Exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants et des Artistes Français, mention in 1933, silver medal in 1936." Painting in good general condition, note a small lack of paint to the right of the signature and a lack of tension in the canvas under the top strip. Frame dimensions: 65cm x 54cm Dimensions at sight: 49cm x 38 cm
