Léon Zeytline was a Russian painter of Jewish origin who moved from Moscow to the capital of France at the beginning of the 20th century. He began to depict the daily life in Paris in the 1920s, illustrating the many famous squares and boulevards, such as "Boulevard de l´Opéra" and "Les Champs Elysées" for example. His work is very detailed in an architectural way with several figures which makes it makes a fairly commercial subject. His work can be compared to the work of his contemporaries Edouard Cortès and Eugène Galien-Laloue. One of his masterpieces can be found in the collection of the "Musée Carnavalet" in Paris.
