Alain Pontecorvo born May 22, 1936 in Paris is a French artist. After studying at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, then at the Estienne School, he met Jacques Séguéla and began a career in advertising, but after twenty years he decided to devote himself entirely to painting, drawing and illustration. His subjects are figures, nudes, interiors with figures, urban landscapes, still lifes. He uses charcoal, red chalk, conté, oil, gouache, pastel and graphite. His style is related to hyperrealism.
