Portrait of an Irish Military Officer, 18th Century entourage of Tilly KETTLE (1735-1786) Large portrait circa 1780 of a British military officer in uniform, oil on canvas. Excellent quality and condition portrait of the young officer in his red and white tunic with gold trim and with his tricorn hat under one arm. The previous owner purchased the work from a London dealer in the 1970s and has been identified as an Irish officer during the period of the British effort in the American Revolutionary War. Framed.
