"Six Directoire Period Chairs"
Set of six walnut chairs from the Directoire period, late 18th century, with an openwork and carved decoration of a bird in the back, different for each of the chairs. Beautiful, unusual model: the movement of the upright of the backrest is arched at the level of the belt, it is balanced by the winding of the upper crosspiece; the anterior and posterior feet are "in saber". The upholstery has been completely redone: it is in traditional "coconut" horsehair, with chain stitch; it is covered with buffalo canvas; all you have to do is cover these chairs with a fabric of your choice. The four ends of the legs on each chair have been slightly raised by 2 to 3 cm. Dimensions: back height 87 cm / maximum width of the seat 44 cm / height of the seat 43-44 cm
