"Carving Service In Its Shagreen Box, Silver And Steel, France, Empire Period"
- Carving set, knife and fork, in their green shagreen box
- Sterling silver, steel, shagreen and velvet
- Cutler's mark "star // Laurent" on the blade of the knife
- France, early 19th century
- Dimensions of the box: Length: 34.7cm, width: 7.2cm; height: 2.9cm; Length (covered): 32.2 cm
- Good condition, discolored velvet with stains, a very slight lack in the corner under the box.

- Cutlery for carving game, the handles in naturalized roe deer hooves, the hoof covered with a silver plate monogrammed in interlaced English letters "MA". Silver ferrules. The two-tooth prong and the steel blade stamped with the cutler's mark "one star // LAURENT". No hallmark for the silver fittings. The service is in its original box in green shagreen with silver hinges and hooks, the velvet interior bordered by golden stripes.
