Louis Charles Dominique Prieur, born August 13, 1887 in By-Thomery (Seine-et-Marne). He was trained at the Académie Julian, a pupil of Eugène Montezin, Henri Royer, Paul Gervais, and at the School of Fine Arts from Paris. He then moved to Brittany and then from 1936 on the banks of the Loire. He exhibited in Paris, at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1914. Member out of competition.
