Antique fan. The feathers are finely painted with birds and flowers on one side and butterflies and flowers on the other side. The mount is in engraved and gilded bone, the top of the guard sticks engraved with Chinese characters. Wear on the feathers visible in the photos. It measures 8,26 inches long closed and 14,37 inches in diameter. Chinese manufacturing for export to Europe, end of the 19th century / 1900.
