"Property Chest Of Drawers In Solid Elm, Louis XIV Period - Mid 18th Century"
Chest of drawers in solid Elm, Louis XIV period, with Modestly Curved facade. Its wooden top is molded around its perimeter and offers pretty lemon tree fillets, tangled in Arabesques in the corners in particular. This Property Cabinet opens with three drawers of an identical depth of 17 cm. Each is trimmed with an ornate entry and working lock, as well as two drop handles with a central flower motif. These Bronzes are later than this Dresser, which is supplied with a Key. These drawers are also embellished with Lemon Tree Inlays, alternating straight and curved lines. It should be noted that these Discreet Decorations are nevertheless omnipresent on this Cabinet since they are found on its sides, on its rounded front uprights, or even on its slightly animated lower crosspiece. The whole rests on four legs, the front ones of which are embellished with Openwork Bronzes. We will remember the Subtle Filets of Lemon Tree which humbly bring personality to this chest of drawers almost three hundred years old. In addition, its wooden top will undeniably allow it to adapt to a wide range of atmospheres.
