"Raymond Subes Rare And Important Art Deco Chandelier With 12 Arms Of Light"
1935 / 1940 Rare and probably unique large chandelier with 12 sconces attributed to Raymond Subes, in green lacquered wrought iron, bronze and gilded sheet metal. Good condition with traces of wear and patina on all surfaces, no repainting or modification of the appearance which is strictly original. Wiring redone to current standards, identical in appearance to the original cable which was degraded with fabric sheath in the color in accordance with the chandelier. Light bulbs on porcelain sockets provide indirect lighting in gilded cups bearing a wood candle. These, original cream lacquer, also have an old patina and some missing paint, please see the photos. The photos do not gives fully the effect of raw presence due to its size and its radical minimalist design barely softened by its color between almond green and verdigris.

Dimensions: Total height with the chain: 230cm which can be reduced to 130cm by removing links or more simply by using the open link located towards the top of the chain.
