Important Enfilade Buffet In Marquetry And Gilt Bronze Stamped Krieger

Antoine KRIEGER (1804-1869)

Important sideboard in Louis Transition style in rosewood marquetry in curly and rosewood in reserve, endowed with a very rich ornamentation of very finely chiseled gilt bronze.

Opening with five drawers and three doors, the rounded sides present a niche with two levels in the bottom of the mirror and openwork gallery of gilded bronze. The tops of the niches as well as the thick top of the sideboard are made of blue turquin marble, groove molding and projections at the level of the uprights for the large top.

Beautiful marquetry interior in Rio rosewood.

Exceptional work around 1880 bearing the stamp of the famous Parisian cabinetmaker Antoine Krieger.

Stamped KRIEGER twice on the back.

Perfect condition, completely restored to its original state by our workshop: cleaning of the bronzes (original gilding), application of a natural varnish with a stamp according to traditional methods.
