Sculpture of a bust draped in biscuit resting on a circular base, signed on the reverse. Total height 32 cm, bust dimension 34*19 cm. Yves-Marie DUMORTIER (born in 1952) Ceramist since 1970, he was trained by Mr. and Mrs. Pierlot in Ratilly, then a pupil of Mr. and Mrs. Lerat at the School of Fine Arts in Bourges where he was assistant professor. He opened his first personal studio in 1978, then moved to La Borne Henrichemont in 1987. His meeting with Francis Cat-Berro will materialize in the creation of furniture combining wood, ceramic and metal. Since 2000, he has settled in Bunus, in the Basque Country. Currently, in the Cat-Berro gallery: presentation of a collection of unique ceramic pieces.
