"Laughing Chinese Glazed Ceramic Twentieth"
Very beautiful enamelled terracotta sculpture in ivory white color representing a laughing Chinese (maggot). Very nice quality! Gorgeous enamel and glaze! Quite heavy with good stability! Probably by Géo Martel, a 20th century artist who made similar magots in other positions of the hands and fingers. Here arms and hands resting on the legs and face with a burst of laughter! Very expressive ! And very friendly! Very beautiful old terracotta with numbering below. No traces of signature at first sight! Height of 39 cm by 35 cm wide by 35 cm deep. Visually stunning and rare! Do not miss !
