"Louis XVI Sloping Desk"
Beautiful sloping desk in solid walnut and marquetry. It opens with a flap and three drawers in two rows. The flap discovers four drawers and niches in stained wood. Blackened worktop, leather and secret. Tray with framing net, veneered flap with leafy spiral and flower. Canted uprights, sheath feet. Decor inlaid with checkered nets and simulated grooves. Pull handles and stylized bronze escutcheons. Walnut and resinous frame, original patina. Period late 18th century. Total height 105 cm, worktop 71 cm, width 103 cm, depth 55 cm.
