"The Blacksmiths. Claude Firmin 1918"
Oil on panel dated 1918, signed Claude Firmin (1864-1944), representing 2 blacksmiths at work. Avignon painter, pupil of Bonnat, he exhibited at the Salon of French artists from 1889 to 1922. Member of the group of Thirteen, he was director of the School of Fine Arts in Avignon from 1937 to 1941. Works present in the Calvet and Louis Vouland.
