Beautiful bright and high-contrast work by the Cannes painter, Louis Pastour, which represents a market scene in a corner of old Cannes.
It could be in the background, the Chapel of Mercy.
Worker during the day and student in the evening at the School of Decorative Arts in the city of Nice then Paris, he exhibited for the first time at the age of 45. In 1902, he founded with a group of workers passionate about art: the Association of Fine Arts of Cannes of which he is the general secretary. Through this association, the painters of the region are highlighted by an annual exhibition.
