"Armand Cassagne Romantic Watercolor"
Panoramic view of a village on the edge of a stream executed in watercolor and signed lower left. Armand Cassagne (1823-1907) first influenced by English watercolourists, belongs to the Barbizon school. He was also a pupil of Eugène Viollet le Duc. The museum of Melun is mainly constituted by his collection that he bequeathed. Vincent Van Gogh studied in his early days the didactic manuals on drawing and watercolor by Armand Cassagne Dimensions of the watercolor 24x37.5 cm. It is framed in a modern gold baguette
