"" Nude In The Front Of The Mirror " By Raimund Germela (austrian, 1868-1945)"
A large, beautiful genre painting of a naked girl doing her hair in front of the mirror was created by the famous Austrian genre, portrait and landscape painter Raimund Germela (1868-1945). Germela was a pupil of the Vienna Academy where he studied with Leopold Karl Mueller and JM Trenkwald. In the following years he lived in Paris, England and three years in Italy. He frequently exhibited his genre scenes of Parisian life and Viennese landscapes. In 1900-1906 Germela was a member of Hagenbund, and from 1911 - a member of the Vienna Artists' Unit.
The artist is listed in the dictionary "Austrian Painters of the 19th Century" by Prof. H. Fuchs, Vienna, 1973.
