Excellent quality and condition circa 1805 portrait of the officer wearing his red tunic and a cape displaying a gold medal and the KCB. Framed. A light cleansing of the face is required. Presented in a period gilt frame. The works were purchased by the previous owners in the 1970s through a London dealer as traditionally identified as Sir John Moore, who died in the Battle of La Coruna after being mortally wounded by a cannon in 1809.
