"Louis XV Period Reliquary, Bavaria, Saint Francis Of Assisi, St. Fidèle De Sigmaringen"
Sun reliquary from the Louis XV period in gilded brass in remarkable condition. The gilding is in mint condition. The finely chiseled and embossed foot is typical for the production of Rococo religious objects from the city of Augsburg in Bavaria in the mid-eighteenth century. In the heart of the reliquary which opens through a small door at the back of the object is a large pendant containing more than 10 different relics among which those of Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Faithful of Sigmaringen, Saint -Felix de Cantalice, Saint-Veron and half a dozen others.
