"Surrealist Painting "
This surreal work was executed in 197 by the representative of the Viennese Phantastic Realism Moving Diethelm Hofer (born in 1945 in Karlstift (Lower Austria). On the back of the painting is the original label of the artist with the name of the artist, the date and the original title in German: Verklärung der Eindringlings" (in English: The Transfiguration of the Invaders). After many trips through Europe, he studied from 1967 to 1973 at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under the direction of W. Hutter. He lives as a freelance painter in Vienna. Based on numerous nature studies, with a preference for seashells and snail shells, Hofer arrived at variant representations of a "mirror of a world of archetypes", which he executes in a surreal way, in the tradition of fantastic realists."
