French School 1900 : "the Neck"

French school 1900 : "The chignon", pastel 55 X 46 cm reassembled in its beautiful gilded sandblasted frame of the time 78 X 68cm (some rubbed) by a "museum" mounting, Ph neutral and fungicide. This lovely pastel chooses an atypical bias to make a portrait of 3/4 back and turned in profile silhouetted against a window overlooking the sea in a Hellenistic landscape, thus highlighting the nape of the neck and the bun. The signature having been partially erased (during the war ? During a succession ?), there remains only the first name, Anne, an initial, "N" or "V", and the date 1900.
