"Important Oak Fireplace Mirror - Late Nineteenth"
Large carved mirror with an oak frame molded inward and scalloped outward. At the top, a masterful ornate pediment overlooks a large mirror with concave upper angles composed of a generous volute accompanied by falling flowers. A large shell in the center is dressed in tulips and surrounded by flowers and foliage. Windings with foliage leaves, volutes and scalloped ribbons decorate this important mercury mirror. The lower part is also carved on the edge of elements such as volutes and flowers. The rear part consists of several crosspieces and 5 panels. The beauty of its sculptures and its size make this fireplace mirror a rare object.
