François DIANA is a painter born in Marseille in 1903. He entered the School of Fine Arts in Marseille at the age of 17 and rubbed shoulders with many Marseille artists such as A. Serra, Toncini or Pierre Ambrogiani. After the war he became a professor at the Beaux-Arts and established himself as one of the major figures of the Péano painters of the Rive-Neuve school in Marseille.
