Object description :

"Portrait Of The Queen Of France And Navarre: Marie De Medici 16th "
Superb and rare 16th century portrait of the Queen of France and Navarre: Marie de Medici.

She is the daughter of Francis I of Medici and Jeanne of Austria.
She was born on April 25, 1575 in Florence at the Pitti Palace and died in Cologne on July 3, 1642.
She is buried in Saint Denis Abbey with other kings and queens of France.
She was queen of France from 1600 to 1610 by her marriage to Henry IV and regent from 1610 to 1614.
She is the mother, among others, of Louis XIII and the grandmother of Louis XIV.
This portrait is certainly inspired by that of Frans II POURBUS.

Format with frame: 64.50 cm x 64 cm.
Frame format: 52 cm x 50 cm.

The frame is original, we can notice on the back the forged nails on the frame.
Note a few small cuts and very slight time shortages and a restoration mark on the back, but nothing serious considering the age of this painting.
The blackened and gilded wooden frame is posterior, while being old, it suits it very well.

Photos are taken in natural light.
Neat packaging.
Shipping costs supported by the buyer.
I remain at your disposal for any further information and photos.
