A pair of vases decorated using the cloisonné technique (Shippo-yaki). The intricate decorations represent eagles, sparrows, trees and flowers. The copper body of the vases is covered with a network of thin metal wires forming a pattern on the vase, then the artist pours liquid glass of different colors into the cells formed between the wires, after cooling, he polishes it and repeats these actions many times until the entire container has a smooth surface.
