Very nice Davenport desk from the 1870-1880 period. This English naval desk from the Victorian period consists of a flap forming a desk and discovering a locker with drawers, a shelf on the top containing lockers and a support for the pen holder, and 4 large side drawers opening on the right side. It is complete with all its keys. The desk is sheathed in brown leather bordered by a frieze with gilded irons. It is in very good condition with its stamped varnish. It is in burr walnut and lemon tree marquetry. 4 false side drawers on the left side. Sculpted legs and slab feet with wheels. Originally this type of furniture was reserved for naval officers.
