Louis Rambaud (19th-20th century): “Valley in the Alps”, watercolor 57.5 X 38 cm, unframed. Like his namesake Bernard, Louis, perhaps his brother, often dealt with the subject of Alpine Hunters in action, but he was also a talented landscape painter, as this watercolor proves. She shows us a valley where a torrent flows, wedged between high blue and brown mountains. Subtly treated, with small melted touches, an invitation to stroll... Close to the landscapes of Lessieux.
