"Nîmes Chest Of Drawers In Walnut, Louis XV Period - Eighteenth"
Provençal chest of drawers in walnut with a curved front, opening with two large carved drawers with knockouts. Large scrolls and acanthus leaves in relief decorate each of these drawers. These are furnished with bronze handles and provided in the center with a large original entrance, cut into scrolls, accompanied by a lock and a key in working order. In the lower part, this elegant furniture has a large openwork crosspiece, carved with scrolls and leaves. On each side, the rounded corners of the uprights are also sculpted with knockouts. The feet are curved and end in a snail foot. The completely original top of this chest of drawers is made up of two well-joined boards with end caps and a molding made up of a groove and a square around it. The bottoms and sides of the drawers are in pine, as well as the dust covers and the back of the cabinet. This typical piece of furniture with its beautiful animated aesthetics and finely sculpted flowery decoration benefits from a very high quality of execution in the assembly and the decoration. This 18th century Provençal chest of drawers will charm you with its beautiful fittings and refined curves.
