"Cartel Louis XIV Rosewood Marquetry"
Cartel and its Louis XIV period lamp base, in rosewood geometric marquetry, and chiseled gilded bronzes. Ornamentation of gilded bronzes, with decorations of two cherubs, one holding a shell on the damping and the other in the central door, on clouds and carrying an armful of flowers. Fine sculptures of ornamental bronzes on the entire cartel and its lamp base. The whole is supported by four snail-shaped feet, decorated with acanthus leaves. The movement is wired with a bronze plate chiseled with Masonic symbols. Dial with twelve cartouches in blue Roman numerals. The bottom of the lamp is richly inlaid, decorated with a border of water leaves and with the corners of espagnolettes. The lower part is finished with a pine cone. Louis XIV/Regency period - early 18th century Good general condition.
