"Remarkable Flemish Wardrobe. Seventeenth Century."
Beautiful Flemish cabinet resting on three top feet (the one in the center redone), it opens with two doors punctuated by three sculpted then fluted columns ending under the crosspiece and the largely overflowing cornice with a Corinthian capital, it also opens with two drawers in its down; its facade, architectural, is abundantly sculpted in low relief with masks, foliage, grooves and birds; the sides, simpler, are divided into small panels, four in chocolate bars. Finally and remarkably, its interior has retained its typical shelving, parquet laid on front and rear crosspieces, stretched from one upright to the other, and above all, in the upper part, in a buffet style with two openwork and engraved doors. with bird motifs, which suggests that it would be a birdcatcher's cabinet... Oak. Very good condition. Flanders. Around 1650.
