Very beautiful old painting from the Belle Epoque, around 1895, signed lower left Henry Laurent (Edouard Henry Laurent) representing a stage edge in Paris. Beautiful plunging framing on the banks animated by characters in period dress waiting for the omnibus boats to cross from one bank to the other. In the distant mist you can see the Mirabeau bridge and the Eiffel Tower. Edouard Henry Laurent was active at the end of the 19th century, he exhibited in avant-garde galleries including Le Barc de Boutteville, then at the Salon in 1903. He painted views of Paris and Crozant. Oil on canvas in good condition, a small restoration in the sky, in a posterior gilded molded wooden frame, all cleaned.
